First dragon of the year
My first dragonfly shot of the year, a fairly fresh Four-Spotted Chaser at a local nature reserve. The golden colours are from gorse bushes in the background.

Sigma 150mm lens, f9, 1/200 sec, ISO 400, tripod.

All C+C appreciated.

Works for me. I like the background and especially the definition of the legs against the leaf blade :toast:

Superb Matt, I think I recognise that gorse. If I'm right, I've never photographed the dragons there, but I would imagine it is a very good site, the pools look ideal to me.
Outstanding detail and colours.

Very nice work, he looks lke he's been banging his head on the perch. What really makes this is the yellow background, very complimentary. :toast:
