Second rose
This shot was taken about an hour earlier in the morning. The light was better later as I was leaving so I shot the other rose, wish now I had stopped to take more. The background is less cluttered in this one. They were both handheld but with IS on. Olympus E510 70=300 lens 316mm EQ f4.6 1/200 ISO 200(not sure how that happened I try to shoot at 100 most of the time) Cropped a slite bit, sharpened some and just a little contrast added. Both of the images when I saved them dropped to less than 1ook file size. I haven't gotten a handle that part yet. BTW river is going down again.

Beautiful, vivid colors, Kendall. I think I would like this more if the entire flower were sharp against the dark BG. I especially want that bright drop in the lower center to be sharp.

Looks good, but I do agree with Chuck...a bit more DOF would make a very nice shot even better.
