Bring plenty midge cream (showers yesterday have sparked the little beggars into life)
Tick proof clothing would be advisable too, this has been the worst spring in years for them.
Be prepared for high fuel prices, diesel has been going up by 2p/L/week for the last few weeks now.

Oh sod it! I'm off to Mull in June and have been looking forward to the relatively low midge levels of the past few years. Typical! Stewart, head for the south of the Island. Stick around Loch Scridain and Loch Na Keel and you won't go wrong. Just be driving around early to beat the spring hoards! Its a good drive down to Fionnphort, but worth looking out for harriers, barn owls and SEOs. Enjoy... it is a magical place!

So, you've broken the Skin-so-soft out already have you John

If the little blighters are out, then don't bother trying anything with flash at dawn/dusk - just looks like it's raining . Enjoy the Buzzards and Otters too.
