This bridge was built when moonshine was the topic of the day for most men. I'm feel confident it was crossed many times going to and fro from a moonshine still located back in the woods along the river. This bridge, although very decayed and moving toward it's demise, is located in South George along the Little River in Cook county.

Very neat Jackie. I know every place has its history and its interesting to learn more about the areas near you and what has gone on before us. I really do not think I would want to cross it today without a bathing suit on.
Thanks Richard and Alice. Actually, around this area is my old stomping grounds. I do remember the bridge when it was in use. I've been told that many a moonshiner was killed and thrown into the deep dark river waters here and that on some days you can hear their cries. This area of Georgia was a terrible, horriable place to live back then (prohibition area) especially in the southern part of Georgia. The new concrete bridge is quite a ways from this old bridge, which is very secluded and spooky. I got a strange feeling while shooting, and the hair on my arms would stand up,and when a breeze would appear there would be a strange noise. I don't believe in ghost, but I definitely wouldn't go here for a picnic.
