Grey Heron
Just experimenting with D-Lighting on this shot, as ive never previously been able to get decent enough underwing/shadow detail for a worthwhile print.

Early days with this new function for me, but it looks like a useful tool, and hopefully it will give a new lease of life to some of my old 'tricky-light' shots

Taken at my local quarry, with my old Pentax 500mm/4.5

D70
500iso
mini dome
A dose of CA correction

Wonderful deoderant ad there Alan.
I don't have a Nikon, so I confess I don't know what D lighting is, but whatever, you have a great behavioural shot here.

Hi Alan,

Awesome pose! I don't know what the orginal frame was like but you have plenty of detail in the shadow under wing! Looks like your getting to grips with NX Capture very quickly!

I love the D-Lighting function in my D300!
