Bonjour
Yesterday I went to see how my badger were doing.....They are so “imprevisible” ....sometimes they come out at 18h00 sometimes they do not come out at all!!! At the moment I have seen 2 female and one cub coming out of the den. I think that they are more of them inside the den....time will tell.
At the base of the tree there is a little hole more or less 10cm by 12cm and I decided last evening to place a few peanuts (12of them to be REALLY precise) near that hole hoping for one of the cub to pop his head out of there. I was really surprise when one of the female head pop out of that hole and started to stare at me....taken with 1D MARK 3, 300MM F6.3,1.4X,1250 ISO.
A bientot et bonne journee a tous

I was worried about what I was going to see when | read the title... An impressive shot and one that should make children everywhere believe in fairy tales about little houses under the roots of big old trees.
Having not been about for a couple of weeks I'm playing catch up going through the pics I've missed and i'm so glad i found this one. Started laughing as soon as it opened. Very well caught.
