In an earlier post of mine Marc noted that desert-parsley is a bit more difficult to shoot than some of the other flowers we have around here, but this was my favorite of the desert-parsley shots I took a couple of weekends ago so I'll throw caution to the wind with one more try. It was a dark, dingy morning a little after the sun was up when I took this; I've tried to keep that feeling with the processing. I wish the distant oaks in the urc could have been excluded, but that comp wasn't available. I've cloned out one bright patch of lichen that was near the center of the photo; it was too distracting.
I'm considering posting this in ESS, but would love some feedback and suggestions from here first.

Looks very good, John. This composition is much stronger than your others IMO. Nice work simplifying the scene down to its most basic elements. Just a little texture/contrast in that sky adds a lot here.
John I like this image so much more then your last posting. What catches this greenhorns eyes are the light parsley flowers tops in the right foreground and the "roll" that takes the eye up,over, down and is then mimicked by the next grouping just behind on the left. That same gentle roll is pleasantly repeated in the roll of the hills and tree top groupings of the background. Both pleasing and thought provoking, very nice!
I like this shot and the color a lot. A bit brighter would only make it better - maybe keep the top half dark but lighten the grass/flowers a bit more to really bring out the contrast between the 2. Looks like a very till morning which helped make this a very nice sharp shot !! Post it on ESS !!
Just a tiny tad brighter, John, I think. Great comp! The oak trees in urc are okay, but they still bother you, try painting them out? Choose a smallish stamp tool, click in the sky at the horizon on the left and brush over the smallest trees on the horizon at the right. 2¢ of suggestion FWIW. And do post in ESS.
