Got up bright and early Saturday morning and took my 4-year-old daughter to the Balloon Launch at the Erie Town Fair. Had some good daddy/daughter time and did a little shooting, as well.

That's an EXCEPTIONAL series, Brent! A nice aside is that there are no tacky, corporate-sponsored balloons like you see in the Springs on Labor Day weekend. Just lots of pretty patterns. Great job!
Thanks for the comments, everyone! It was a ton of fun, especially with my daughter. As much as I tried to explain it, she couldn't comprehend that people would actually ride in the balloons until she finally saw it. She'd only seen hot-air balloons from a distance, and never really understood how big they were. I pretty much had to pick her jaw up off the ground when the first balloon was inflated. Although I'm sure I would have enjoyed it anyway, it was a lot more fun with her there.
Thanks again for looking!

Very nice Brent! I wonder how Albuquerque is in the fall?
Very cool series Brent!!. I very nearly went along myself, should of!. I actually crewed for one of the ballonist at the festival one year, the company I worked for was a sponsor.
great stuff Brent, I saw them all over the sky, a few landed real close to the house, unfortunately I did not know this was going on until it was over (typical with me). Glad you got in some daddy - daughter time, never enough of that.
