Anyone have interesting plans for the weekend? Where're you headed??

I'm hanging at home with the family this weekend, but I'll be out and about next weekend.

Heading for the Teton/Yellowstone area on Saturday for three weeks. 399 the sow with three two year olds has chased them out on their own. There are currently two boars courting her around pilgrim creek. Thats a total of six grizzly in the oxbow area. Very unusual hope to get some images of them. The elk calving will soon start in full force in Yellowstone which will bring on a flurry of wolf and bear activity.

Headed for the In-Laws' ranch near Deadwood, SD. A little family time, a little fishing time, and some time putting my brand spankin new 17-40L through it's paces.

Graduations Friday and Sunday (one for my son  ). The Sunday grad is in Montrose so I'm taking my gear and hoping to catch a nice sunset or sunrise on the Sneffels range or the Cimmarons.

I'll be going to Monterey, CA. Not for fun though, for my mother-in-law's memorial. :frown:

I'm flying to Winnepeg and then heading north to a remote fishing camp with "the guys". I'm not all that much of a fisherman, but it sounded like an interesting adventure and will be the official photo documentarian. Will only be taking my G9, but hope to have a few images to show on my return.

See you in Estes, Erik! I'll be staying local and heading up to join the crowds in RMNP for at least one day this weekend. Other than that, a friend's birthday party is on the ticket.

A little photography time ... a little family time. Hopefully, the Beartooth Highway will open this weekend. If so, I'll probably be up there at some point.

We're heading down to South Fork for 4 days! Woo hoo! Won't probably shoot too much, but will at least get up to Creede for a day, and probably drive the Park Creek county road towards Elwood Pass, at least as far as we can with all the snow left down there. Other than that, lots of relaxing and playing with the kiddo! Be safe everyone!

I'm heading for western Nebraska.......................................................Yep, you read that correctly. Its part of a personal project I'm working on to photograph the Oregon Trail from its starting point in Independence, MO to trails end in Oregon. Looking to work the trail in the area around Scotts Bluff NM and Chimney Rock.

Don, if you want to be immortalized in digital bits while kayaking, I think I can remember my way around the Numbers and a few other locations from my stint there a couple of years back... Have a great time!

I'm enjoying the weather at the Grand Canyon. I've been here for three nights with one more still to come. We've had rain, sleet, snow, sun, high wind, and a couple rainbows. Camping stinks but the weather has been awesome for photography.

I'm off to Canyon de Chelly or Hovenweep to finish off this trip. :wavey:
