Whitethroat?
Haven't been able to get out much so this is from a couple of weeks ago. Taken about 7am and I hadn't got set up when this appeared. Hence the daft settings of 1/500s, f18! And yes, we do sometimes get clear blue skies!

Great shot Ian sharp and well exposed with a good BG also singing a bonus. :toast:

I ahve spent 3 hours this afternoon trying to get a shot of one with no success at all :frown:

Very nice image, aesthetically though it's a shame about the tail being obscured and the shadows cast.

Hi Ian,
Very nice shot - indeed it is a common whitethroat. Very nice to get it mid-song! Are you near a ringing site?

Thanks for the comments. Adam - yes this was actually taken at a ringing site in Fife. I have to say I have no experience of this. I have recently joined the local bird club and no doubt have a lot to learn.

Nice one. Is it alright to impale them on sticks though?
Only jealous really.

Wish I could get shots this good when I'm fully prepared, never mind on the hoof! Looks great mid-song
