Earlier today we were noticing that the winds were getting high and the clouds were looking especially mean so I took out my camera and started snapping some pictures. Come to find out this is the edge of the tornado that was filmed by the 9 news crew. It missed me by less than 1/2 mile. Enjoy the pics... Sorry I haven't cropped them yet to remove the filter.
I have family driving over from SLC via I-80 today. I just spoke to my wife and apparently they drove through part of this west of Cheyenne. Shook them up a bit. Looks nasty.
My son works for State Farm and their building took a direct hit.
I got a little concerned until he was able to call - his T-Mobile connection was out.
He described the time in the stairwell as rather intense.
Looks like his car will probably be a total loss.
But, hey, nobody at his office appears to have been hurt.
it sounded like one serious tornado, alot of people injured and one person was killed. Between an F3 and an F4. Crazy stuff, but it is that time of year
Pretty wild weather yesterday, the Tornado warning system here in Longmont went off early afternoon, but fortunately all we got was rain and hail. Windsor was hit hard, my thoughts are with those affected.

This looks to be a really wild year.
