Puffin in its environment
I've been snowed under with fieldwork recently, so here's one of a puffin on Fair Isle from last month, with a steep cliff for context.

Canon EOS 30D
Canon 70-200 f/4L IS @70mm
ISO 800
1/80 at f/5.6

That's an excellent shot and it shows of their habitat perfectly. It looks a little soft to me, but that is probably from the re-size. I'd try another round or two of usm.

Works for me Adam,

A real sense of place, and the puffin is nicely placed within :toast: :toast:

Hi Adam,

This looks good to me! :toast: How's the fieldwork going?

Cheers,

Dan.

Really nice environment shot. I'm caught in two minds about the bit of sea at the top left revealed as the cliff slopes down. Part of me says it helps with the context of the environment and the other half thinks it distracts as part of the background
