Ok ladies and Gentlemen, we all know that Mr.Biggs is the H2O man. How that guy continously shares some of the most beautiful water shots amazes me. I thought it's time to share what you have found this past spring. As we share our best...feel free to ask for tips and techniques. We can all learn from each other. Thats what its all about anyway.
I will start us off with a shot from one of my favorite locations in the Smokes..."Hazel Creek" This Picture was taken around 7:20am on an overcast morning.
Here are the details:
Canon EOS 40D
Lens: EF-S10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
B & W Circular Polarizer
Aperture: F22
Shutter Speed: 8 sec
ISO Speed 400
Little River, Dupont State Forest, NC

Beautiful shot Richard. And the same to everyone above.
We don't have the same kind of water here, but this nest is surrounded by water, so I hope I'm not stretching Harold's theme too far. The chick is 12 hours old. The egg shell is from a second chick that hatched minutes earlier but immediately laid back down.
Great shots everyone! Well this is probably not my best from this spring, but I was pleased to find some mountain laurel blooming near the water. Taken Memorial Day in harsh sunlight so I couldn't compose any wider. This is along the river at Jones Gap State Park near Greenville, SC. Nikon D200, 18-200 VR, tripod, cable release, f22, 1.8 sec. Let's see some more posts!
And now for a different water image in the East River in Brunswick, Georgia. Taken from a boat on 04/08 while towing another vessel. One of a long term series documenting the demise of the Wanderer. I thought about cropping it to just the reflection colors on the water, but thought y'all might like the whole "story". Troup
