Randy, the waterfall gets my immediate attention but then I am pulled to the tree and rocks. Nice work.
By the way, after you told me which Mill Creek this was, I looked it up on my topo maps. The Friday before the gathering, I took Parker Ridger Road out of Deer and then took the road to Chancel. Are you accessing Mill Creek from the ford at Hurricane Creek or bushwacking down from Parker Ridge Road?
Tom, the only route I've taken to Mill Creek is to park at the Hurricane Creek ford and walk across the grown-up field to Mill Creek, and then upstream from there.

Well composed scene Randy; what an idealic setting. I love this perspective on the creek and falls.
This shot makes me wonder what it would be like to spend one's entire existance (i.e. the tree) on the planet being part of this scene?
Yes, very well composed Randy. And what a great find, too. Now I've just got to stand in that spot some day. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Wayne, and it surely should be a fun thing to do to go back to this place in different seasons to document something about this small corner of the world. Maybe we can all pitch in some to do that, at least those of us who are up to the four mile round-trip bushwhack. One good thing about it is that the creek doesn't gain much elevation in that two-mile stretch; so it's pretty much a flat hike all the way.
Thanks, John, and thanks for the tip about Parker Ridge Road. It's sort of like a highway into the heart of some great wilderness.

Hey John, if you stand in that spot you might get your feet wet. If I remember right, I was about ankle deep in the creek for that shot.
