Blackcap
Not much around the woodland pool this year .Not put much on of late either due to a massive computer mess up. Formatted the wrong drive and lost all this years stuff. Got most of it back but lost some nice pictures and a lot of interest !

Beautiful shot John. Do you shoot handheld, or use a tri/monopod?

Very nice image John :toast:

Perhaps an external caddy drive might be in order to download your camera files to - keeps 'em off the system so's you can't do stuff like that quite so easily   :wavey:

Western Digital MyBooks are quite good and not too pricey

Lovely image. I've enjoyed all your pool shots a lot.

I'm not keen, however, on the twig on the right.

Great behavioural shot. Sorry to read about your misfortune. With your talent there are plenty more images to record.

Hi John

Another great image from the pool-lovely bird-Bimmer about the lost images-have you tried sending your drive away to a data company to try to get the lost ones back

Cute!
Maybe time to experiment with a shallower angle, if possible?

Tough about losing your shots. Been there done that and still crying about it

Its a beauty John :toast: :toast:

Hope i don't suffer a similar fate in the future, as i'm clueless about a computer's insides :frown:

Thanks all.
I have two external 200gig drives but for some reason I decided to tidy things up and hadn't moved all this years latest stuff.. I am still on Win 98, and got 99% back with Norton (took all night but worth it..
Bryan, I have a ball and socket head on a shelf inside the permanent hide. Back to the angle thing again. I can't lower the hide as it fills with water ,but I have another set up where the pool is raised. I stopped using it as with low POV.s there's too much bird reflection. I don't particularly like it anyway.
Thanks for your interest everyone.
