Anybody know the name of the meadow across the road from and just west of the chapel? It is the one with the boardwalks that lead to the river, with the view of Yosemite Falls.

Harley, would that be Cook's Meadow? Ron

Hi Ron,

I believe Cook's Meadow is across the river, across the road from the trail to the lower yosemite falls. The meadow I am talking about is just across the road from the chapel and 100 yards west.

Could it be a continuation of Leidig Meadow? Ron

Harley,

Can't be for sure, but how about Sentinel Meado? I had never heard the name before, but some Googling and I found this link. Cook's Meadow is certainly the one with the famous Elm tree and Leidig meadow is across the Merced to the West of Yosemite Lodge.

Got somethin' from there? :-)

Lon,

I think you have it. The video of the Sentinel Meadow shows it to be the same place. I have a stock image that I wanted to properly identify. Nothing worthy of posting here, but who knows, someone might buy it someday.

I'm pretty sure it's Sentinel Meadow too.
