During a little downtime this weekend waiting for an ankle injury to heal up a bit I'm beginning the process of looking through a couple hundred thousand images I've taken in the past few years to find 107 new images to include in my upcoming Arkansas Landscapes picture book - this shot is one that caught my eye. Sometimes the best views are found right along the highway - I shot this near the greater Swain/Nail metroplex along Hwy. 16 while on my way home one evening recently.

I swear you must have connections to some one up above! An incredible sky AND the clouds part just enough to allow the moon to complete the scene at just the right moment.

Great stuff Mr. Ernst! Hope you heal up quickly. :wavey:

There were several hundred other sunsets that did not work out so good....it is just a matter of averages...

Wow! Tim, I don't know which shot I like better this one or the swamp scene you posted a little earlier. I guess I will just have to like them equally. Now I can't wait for that new book. It sounds like it will make good Christmas gifts this year. I hope you plan on doing a slide show this fall so that we can see the images on the big screen!

Oh wow, I think I just found another favorite from the Tim Ernst Collection. I just love shots with a cool moon adding to them. Very sweet.

I just happened to be driving through Swain this evening, and having seeing your photo I kept an eye out for that hillside. Sure enough there it was!
Gorgeous image, Tim.

Beautiful Tim, the moon completes the image.
