In preperation for purchasing a D3X I have purchased a 24-70, and no longer need the 17-55. I am offering this for $950.00 and it is in perfect shape....and it is a very sharp copy of this lens. No damage, and it has never been dropped....no dents or dings...and the optics are clear and not scratched.

I will be putting this up in the classifieds later this weekend.

LOL....Darren...my instincts are dead on....and when Thom Hogan speaks of it...well...his ear is solidly on the ground when it comes to Nikon upcomming hardware. I also expect a 10D (D300 with D3 sensor) in answer to the 5D after the D3X is announced (names maybe changed to protect the secrets of Nikon...lol)

If the unlikly event happens that the D3X does not see daylight....the lenses are still amazing.

Speaking of new Nikon stuff, is a new 70-200 f2.8 VR in the works ? If so, when can we expect it ? Thanks

I am not sure....always hear about it, but nothing official. Is there a problem with the current VR version?

P.S. Just posted lens in the full forum last night.
