Two-page book spread

I love "double-truck" spreads in books, but you have to select the images carefully - sometimes you even have to shoot them specifically for this, as I did of this hayfield shot and Roark Bluff. The format of the new book I am working on will be "landscape" mode so the two-page photos have to be really long and skinny, more like panos than normal format photos - 9" tall x 24" wide. It is fun picking them and some images just jump out at you and scream "use me for two pages!" The only problem is that there are a limited number of spots in the book where you can use two-page spreads correctly (must be in the middle of a "signature" sheet in order for the wide photo to be printed and bound uncut). I've got some really neat ones picked out for this book but need more space already!

This one sure qualifies IMHO. Well done.

This looks like a real winner for a two page spread Tim. I must say I don't (at this time) own any of your books but looks like I need to start adding some to my collection. Buffalo River Dreams seems to really catch my eye when checking it out. This new landscape format one may be on my list as well.

Great shot, Tim. I'm looking forward to the book.
