What a sunset.... I am in the middle of 2 months of workshops so I haven't been too active on NPN. Anyone see last nights light show?
We got completely drenched, and probably shouldn't have been standing there with lightning going on all around us, but who could resist.
The light changes about every 15 seconds or so. Though I would have rather been in a better location, the light was the subject here so it is what is is ( was!). I have a bunch more, but I am beat and will get to them in time. Anyhow here's one!

PS--no color correction, slight darkening ( -1 and a +2 in contrast--and unsharp mask---- I only spent about 2 minutes on this----just wanted you all to see it----absolutely amazing!

I agree with very dramatic lighting like this you would want to be elsewhere preferably to do more with the image. However, I am glad to see someone got something last night. I was out with my wife sitting outside a coffee shop drinking tea starring into the sky unfolding above us that was quite amazing. She knew exactly what I was thinking! But I can't be out there for them all. I would have maybe put a little more room to the right of the sun nonetheless Amazing light and color!
Man, I was itching to shoot that tremendous color. In PDX it was a beautiful purple to the east with a grand rainbow, and to the west it was picture perfect red/orange/pink. Then the lightning took over.
I was over at a friend's house and watched the kids have fun in it all thinking "man, I wish I had my camera."
The sunsets the last couple of night have been just unbelievable. This is, of course, because I've been indisposed and not able to go shoot them.
The reds in your shot are just crazy, Jack.
The last few nights have been amazing for sure. Here's one I got from 3 nights ago. I too was not really ready, I was actually doing some reading in the park here. Caught me a little off guard
