A shots from very early on a beautiful Saturday morning.
Photos taken May 24 2008 at Dredge Lake in Juneau with a Nikon D80 and 70-300mm VR lens on Monopod.
Dave,
Is this a major crop? On my screen it looks really noisy. That looks like one healthy critter, the beavers around Anchorage have been very active the past couple of last years and are some of the largest beavers I have ever seen.
It was only cropped a small amount to remove an out of focus limb in the corner. It was however taken at an ISO of 1600, it was very early in the morning and still very dark and the beavers don’t respond well to the use of flash so it was necessary to use the high ISO setting and its accompanying high noise levels.
