Taken from a hide Mark?
High viewpoint, one or two distractions creeping in around the edges and dull light are all conspiring to make this a shot to look back on to improve.

Never seen a redshank, so thanks for posting one. Agree a lower angle would have been better.

Hi Mark,
You did well with that. Brandon's hides are a bit high, but it is surprising what turns up there.
Glad you have had some success already.

Have only been to Brandon Once, and agree the hides are built far too high for photographers (nice cafe though).

This is a good image considering.

yes this paricular hide is very high, right up on stilts, the light was very low, so i was battling with conditions. , but thanks for the feedback,

Classic public hide viewpoint Mark, which rarely suit the photographer, but a decent result for the restrictions.

I wonder if the following frame/s would have given a cleaner view { although dependent on the birds decision obviously}.

Great bird {and usually very nervous}, and one that i continually strive to get a decent shot of!!
