Spotted Flycatcher
Spotted Flycatcher doing what they do best.

During a brief period of sunshine found this little fella working hard.

1D3 ISO400 500mm hand held f/6.3 1/500th sec.

RAW to lightroom resized for posting in PS3

Critique and comment most welcome.

Thanks

Stretching it a bit handholding the 500 at this speed with the mk3. Focus could land just about anywhere.
Like the perch but I'd be looking for a touch more DOF to get the outline of the head sharp too.

Barry - I would have believed you! Nice image though. A bit more light on the head would have been good.

A nearly shot for me, with all the nits mentioned. For such a common bird, they are not the easiest, especially now that the leaves have opened.
