I was hoping there wasn't a funnel cloud developing as I watched the storm move in at Tea table rocks this morning. It was strange how fast the fog in the valley moved out once the storm moved in. This is probably the storm that pumped up Haw Creek, Tom.
The water flow Magnolia Falls looked pretty decent today, but Bowers was a disappointment. Oh well, got in a little exercise anyway...

Impressive sky Bill. It looks like you were exposed up this high with a storm around. I didn't get much exercise today but I did manage to shoot several comps of my abundant water lillies. Thanks for sharing!
Vacate the premises? NEVER! My butt was there for the duration. I could see a black sky coming in from behind me, and just KNEW I was about to get my second shower of the day (this time with my clothes on). Funny thing was, I only felt a couple of sprinkles as I headed back after the cloud show was over.
Pretty amazing clouds, and I love the big bank of fog down in the valley. Also, I gotta say... Tea Table Rocks, Magnolia Falls, and Bowers Hollow ALL in the same day? Whoa!
Hi Bill really nice detail in the clouds and just a great view. Love the fog down in the valley. Post your shot of magnolia falls I'd like to see that.
Bill, that is a bunch of scary clouds. I think you are correct, they must have been dumping bunches of rain on the Haw Creek watershed.

I was just a few miles east of you when these storms were passing over, and I confess that looking at these clouds I'm glad I was under a bluff at the time. Electricity should be confined to copper wires and little containers that you slip into transistor radios and not running around wild.
