Dipper with fish
20D, 400mm, f5.6, 1/50, -1exp, ISO400, tripod, bag hide
Well, for the 3rd year in a row I've managed to go on holiday for 2 weeks and miss the chicks fledging
Hopefully these guys will have a second brood as I only managed 3 sessions with them in the end. They had 2 chicks in the end which are now nearly fully grown and are happily going up and down the river with mum, so a good year for Dippers down here again by the looks of it!
This doesn't compress very well but I liked the open mouth of the fish - poor thing! at least it probably made a change from the crunchy stonefly larvae for the chicks!
