Great Salt Lake shooting location

I am driving to pick up my wife at the Salt Lake Airport and will have only one evening and morning to shoot at Salt Lake. :(

Could someone who knows the area be kind enough to advise me on the best location/directions from the airport to get some foreground salt detail with Antelope Island in the background?

It would be greatly appreciated.

For an evening shot with Antelope Island in the background head west on I-80 from the airport to exit 104 (Saltair) and drive west along the shore and take the dirt road, which veers left just before the marina and head to the big rock formation. The same location is also a good morning shoot of Stansbury Island which lies to the west. The lake is low enough that you can walk along the shore, especially towards the west, and get some intersting comps that include some pools. If you want the really classic salt flat look you have to head much farther west and from there Antelope Island won't be visible. I have included and image of Antelope Island taken this winter from the above location. Apologies for the long response. Good luck!
