Ran across this patch of columbine the other day while looking for other shots. I liked the images I had seen in the forum so I thought I'd shoot it. Olympus E 510 70-300mm lens at 340mm eq 1/80 f4.7 ISO 100 tripod no crop.
I am getting more time to shoot than usual it is raining again and we can't plant. Flood water is pretty well gone.

I like the dramatic lines and bright colors in this image, Kendall. Good choice of DOF. If I could change anything, I would include the tip of the bud in the LR.
Nice lighting, Kendall. I agree with Chuck regarding the tip of the bud. I'd like to see the focal point more on the main flower, though....as is, the bud appears sharper than the flower.
