Singing Marsh Wren
One more from this weekend's visit to Ridgefield. Although small in stature, this little guy had an extremely load voice.

Comments and critiques please.

Wonderful job here David, capturing one of my favorite birds. I like the size, cattails and background, all working to give the perspective of "his world" My only nit would be to have remove the large cattail leaf on the left foreground, but the rest is so good that you can live with it. The singing and classic tails up pose capture his personality. Well done!

I like it all except for that zigzag stem on the right. I think the large cattail leaf actually adds to the photo.

I agree with Mark. Leave the left side cattail leaf in there! Love this shot of the bird's world and its singing its heart out to it. Hope you put this up over on Avian. Great shot! :jump:

Great image, David! I love environmental images of birds such as this one! :toast:

As Mark and Catherine have mentioned, the RHS doesn't do a lot, so I'd consider cropping on the right. In fact, I like an even deeper crop so that you end up with a square image - see what you think if you crop just to the right of the 3rd cattail leaf counting from the left...

Nice shot, like he was oblivious to your presence... :toast:
