After seeing the effects that Phil got with his diffusion tunnel I decided to see if I could get hold of some of the fly weight enverlope inserts. Phil helpfully pointed me in the right direction. Unfortunatly they only sell them in minimums of a 100, I tried looking on e-bay and google but couldn't find anyone who did them in large enough sizes and smaller quantities. So I bit the bullet and ordered them from the place Phil got his from. This does mean I have more of them than I need, so if anybody wants some then I'm happy to post them out to people in the UK. It basically works out at £5 for 4 (16" x 12" / 400mm x 300mm rough) inc postage. Please note this works out at cost, the enverlope inserts cost me 54p each.
Edit
For those of you after another source of the same material- I know some companies use it as packaging. VWR (large laboratory supplier) ships their glass vials in boxes made of it.
