Many of you have photographed this little waterfall in Broadwater Hollow recently so I wanted to share this image and thought with you. This is the waterfall I'm naming after Paige Slape, the young lady that was killed nearby on Hwy. 43 Saturday morning. Paige was very small and petite and loved to explore places like this so I felt it was a perfect match for her (this photo of Paige Falls will be added to a reprint of the waterfalls guidebook due out this fall). I don't do funerals, so instead of going to hers today (she will be buried on a hillside almost within sight of Broadwater Hollow), I decided to honor her and say goodbye in my own way - by visiting and photographing her waterfall. With the recent rains and beautiful soft light it was just perfect early this morning. As I stood there in tears, good old Eric Clapton showed up and "tears from heaven" began to fall when a light rain settled in. I plan to make it a habit of picking up a pretty stone each time I visit this waterfall and toss it into the pool - as a tribute to not only Paige, but to all young people that are taken away from us all too soon...

Sounds like a fitting tribute to a wonderful young lady Tim. I'm sure she will smile down from heaven every time you are there tossing a stone into the pool. Hope the healing for family and friends starts soon.
No better way to remember someone near and dear to the heart. It is sad that her life was taken at such a young age. My thoughts and prayers will be with her...

It is not right that funerals have more tears from children that from their elders.
That is a very fitting tribute to Paige. My prayers to the family and all that knew her. Thanks for sharing and doing this.
