This forum has a high quality input from what I've seen in my short time on here, and in my opinion there are just too many good pictures to choose one from, as they all have their own particular brand of difficulty level and expertise and post processing skills to take into account.
I am not a great believer in competitions anyway - I have seen what it can do to people !

As John said a very high quality of images on the forum at the moment and a difficult one to call,The macro work has been the highlight for me and Guy Rogers Large Red tops the tables for me-Great work
Such an incredibly high standard. Some great macro work, Guy's grebe and chicks, Edwin's hare among the buttercups. How do you choose? I really liked Peter Cairns' pine marten - a difficult subject, a simple but effective comp, with a splash of bg colour - very nice and that gets my vote.

Well I've just spent the last 2 hours going through all the images and for me it's got to be Guys Grebe and chicks. I love the way he has caught the interaction between grebe and chick. It's an image I just keep coming back to.
The standard of images on this forum seems to get better every month. Tough choice but I I am also leaning to Guy's 'Great Crested Grebe with chicks on back'. A sublime and timeless wildlife image
