Greylag goose
In an attempt to better capitalise on some of the species found close to home, I've recently started 'baiting' greylag geese that breed locally. These are wild geese and very wary of approach but partial to grain! After around six weeks of baiting, I've started to see some action. A long way to go - and definitely better in winter - but this is the sort of thing I'd like to build on. Semi-permanent hide now on order!

Canon 1dMII, 500mm. ISO200.

It is a lovely shot. The image holds a certain amount of mystery to the viewer.
