Two small treasures.
Last evening as I finished mowing the yard I noticed my wifes Clematas had a bloom open. Ah I thought an opportunity to stop mowing and take a picture. When I got there I realised that there was an even better shot when I found this nest hidden in the vine. I shot a couple and then let mom back. I believe it is a Chipping Sparrow nest I did get one shot of the female as she came back in. Olympus E510 14-42mm lens at 84 mm eq f5.6 1/80 ISO 400 I was going to crop down some but then decided to leave it alone.

You've captured the "hidden" quality of the nest very well, Kendall. Great choice of DOF.

What a lucky find, Kendall!

There was a Cardinal nest tucked in a Holly bush at my brother's but I decided not to try to get any images because the youngsters were brand spanking new and didn't need any stress.

The crop and OoF foreground are perfect to convey how special and hidden the true subject is. I really like it.
