Kestrel Male Baited mincemeat and day old chicks.
Very difficult birds to get to bait and extreemely wary when you do get them.
Thanks to my mate Roy Blewitt and years of hard work.

Thanks Looking at it now I can see. It was a vertical and I've had to stick a bit on the right. Well I didn't stick a bit on - I stretched it !
How's this.

That is very much better and works well for me. I did enjoy the first image but this takes it up a notch. Very well taken and thanks for sharing. Super detail throughout.
You're absolutely right Major - especially around the tail. I just wanted to see what it looked like basically (And it was late !) I won't keep that one anyway.

Repost is much better. It was far too close to the edge on the original. Lovely colour, pose and background. The kestrel really pops out. Have you cloned something out on the right side? There appears to be a strange noise/moire...
Thanks all.
Hi Elliot
- no its just a stretch of a piece on the right edge. It was too late last night to be bothering with cloning green bits all over the place etc ! I probably should have softened it too but as I say its only to see the crop effect really. Don't forget they are heavily compressed too, as I am still on dial up Win 98 steam computing !!!
Here's another from the same session.

Great subject and excellent detail. I'm not into processing I struggle at the best of times but I do see that higher compression affects the basic image. I can't see that effect in yours.
Your last image is super, the framing is right etc.... Just me being an awkward so and so, why did you add canvass etc to the first image? from what I can see you had the room there anyway...
Thanks again.
Phil - took me a while to work that out too. Couple of reasons. Firstly I was using an image I had used on another forum and couldn't get straight to the oringinal after my recent upheaval. Also It was suggested more room to the left of the tail would help, which then put the head too far over to the right.!
Should have left well alone !
Cheers

The second shot is equally as fine, in my book!!

Really like the final post.
