Hello,
My name is Michael Reynolds. I'm a new member of CANP. You can see some of my images in my NPN portfolio, or checkout my web site at www.michaelrreynolds.com. I've been shooting digital for some time, but recently started shooting 4x5, with much helpful encouragement from my friend Harley Goldman. I'm enjoying the transition back to film. Hope to post an image soon to more properly introduce myself.
Best Regards,
Michael
Hello Michael, welcome to NPN and the CANP forum here. Always nice to see another 4x5 shooter in the crowd. We will look forward to seeing your images no matter what media you choose to use.
Welcome to CANP! I'll echo Paul's note: It's nice to see another LFer in the group! I looked at your portfolio. You have some nice work there. I'm looking forward to seeing your 4x5 shots!
If you have any questions, post them here, or send me an e-mail.
Again, welcome! We look forward to your participation!
As an ex-LFer, I'm happy to see someone carrying the torch. But to tell you the truth, I always considered 4x5 to be medium format. 5x7 was perfect except that it was awfully expensive, even forty years ago. I don't want even to speculate about what it must cost now.
However, my return to photography has been entirely digital. Not only can I not afford LF, but I'm too old to lug 15-20 kg of equipment over hill and dale as I used to. But I hope you enjoy yourself.
'bout time you posted a note here! Welcome. We're not terribly active here, but that can always change. :-)
Have fun with the 4x5 - take it slow and just enjoy the process. Can't wait til we get our new cameras come July. We'll have to take 'em out for a test drive...
