Another Hare..
Another one taken from my first day with my new Sigma 500.

I think the focus is in the right place for this..

Taken on board everyones advice from my first post and need to practice practice practice with the long lens..

1D3/sigma 500/iso640/5.6/800th

Thats more like it Trevor {pheeew  },

Nicely caught, and the implied motion from the front foot, gives it a slight 'action' feel!!

The colours do look very/ overly saturated, but i'm sure a small PS tweak would give it a more life-like 'look'.

Yes that's better. The pan crop may be a little overdone perhaps but never mind.

Great pose, well caught!

I agree about the crop, and the colours and saturation.

Welcome by the way! I like hares too, they are amazing!

Far more realistic to my eyes. Focus looks about right to me, but I would always give it another round or two of usm after reducing to 720 px as they tend to go a bit soft in compression. A bit more on the top and a little less on the right would make it an excellent shot in my book.

Hi Trevor,

Re post looks better. And regarding USM I always resize my web images to 720px before adding any USM. I normally give 5 rounds at 100, 0.2, 0.

Hello Trevor, second post is much better but would agree about having a bit more space on top. I'd still be very glad to have a shot like this on my files. Unfortunately no hares down here. Glad to see you are enjoying your new lens.

Robert.
