ISO400, 1/160 @ f8.

Hi,

I promise not to post too many of these  . These magnificent creatures seem to be in love with Brett, as he moves around they will follow him, they seem to ignore anyone else.

Another from a marvelous day of photography in great company...

All the best.

Another great shot Phil but I have to say the first post is still the best for me.

Another cracking shot. I love all the complementary colours around the adder - it must have been well camouflaged. No wonder I never see them.

Hi Phil

missed the first one, when i saw this i had to have a look, two beautiful images with great colour, but the first one has the edge for me for the pose

Not often you see an adder image with the head raised like this-fantastic-love the colours here-focusing spot on

Nice work Phil, I'm glad you were able to come and see some of my Adder 'work' first hand.. I look forward to more adventures in the near future and no doubt we will re-visit the Adders as the season goes on..

I am enjoying these posts and look forward to many more from you. I might be biased but love the Herptiles...!

Also, just for info, this is the Adder I saw just the week before. I checked out my 'head-pattern' records and there she was. I will need to compare with past years and see when I first recorded her.

Another great adder shot, Phil. I love the pose of this one, though as others have said aesthetically your first beats this one. Hope to join you guys one of these days.

Agree with above comments. You very rarely see this head reared with adder shots. Like this a lot. I would have risked a little more aperture to get some detail in the scales and pattern behind. Really nice though, Phil. :toast: :toast: :toast:
