I found this Dung Fly in my garden yesterday with a fly that it had caught. I watched it for a minute or two and returned about 15 mins later to find the dung fly still there but no sign of the prey. I can only assume it ate the whole thing (or maybe ate the bits it wanted and discarded the rest?).I saw it partially eat the fly so it certainly didn't escape.

Stunning! Incredible detail and clarity. Just superb. Always great to get behaviour amongst the the tiny creatures (especially between different species) as it is so rarely photographed.
I think that's a wonderful shot Matt. Getting quality macro shots is hard enough but catching the behaviour as well, makes this outstanding. Even the victims eyes are towards the camera and sharp. Superb. Eric
