Spent the last couple of days playing with a new macro lens, found this dead blue bottle while photographing orchids with some other uknp members. Unfortunatly no matter how patient I was (and I was very patient) the spider was just to camera shy.
Thats one nice dead fly nick, what I'd give for a shot like this. What do you say Brett.
Regarding the "patient" part, we are all agreed......the men in white coats will be with you shortly.
The thing is, I think he first saw the fly as a maggot then as a pupae and then waited for most of it's life to get this shot.. LOL! As Tony said what I'd give.. Hee! Hee! I think the Kestrels were on their second brood by then as well..! Men in White coats and a jacket with many buckles me thinks...
Best picture of a dead fly that I've seen for a while.
I quite like this as it is; dead thistle, dead fly, nice colours, but I would clone out the spider. Eric
I was a bit worried that you might think I was being fascetious, but I really did think that the spider wasn't prominent enough to be relevant and that it was a bit of a distraction from an interesting 'still-life' shot.
Anyway nice shot. Eric

How many hours were you patient for?
There's no flys on you.
