Whitethroat
A bit of a grab shot from saturday, whilst hurrying to catch my bus home!!

Only time for a few frames, and this is the least cluttered.

The high sun was a bit of a pain, leaving the chest in shadow, and although almost full frame, ive needed a touch of noise ninja in that area!

Nice pose Alan. They are busy little birds aren't they. I had a bit of luck with one of these on saturday evening. Will post some later.

Now I really like this Alan - the pose in typical Whitethroat but very 'off the norm'. :toast: :toast:

I do think a bit more space at the top and a bit less on the right would be a bit better, or maybe even a portrait crop if you have the image area on the raw file.

It's a real cracker though - very nice :wavey: :wavey: :wavey: :wavey:

I like this. As has been said - typical Whitethroat pose.

A different view, certainly. The jury is out in my mind. I don't dislike it, but I think the green blobs bottom-left, lack of room above the bird, and harsh light detract from what could have been a very special photograph indeed. Sometimes these things just conspire against us. Worth persevering with! :toast:

Good eye contact/detail, and as said above with a little work will make a very nice image.

Love it. Sometimes the best ones are the grab shots in my opinion. They're a bit less perfect but might hold more excitement particularly when it was a memorable encounter. If the only reason you take pictures is for sale then I guess it's a different matter.
