Early Morning Puffin
Last image from a recent seabird trip - before the next one next week that is!!

Wanted to make a slightly ethereal feel to this one through use of soft-focus foreground - that and trying to make sure I didn't fall over the cliff-edge I was dangling on!!

40D, 500mm and 1.4x convertor, f4, 1/125, ISO400

This is gorgeous, I really like it. I'd like a little more space on the left, but it's still great as it is. A bit different, which is good.

Hi Mark,
Lovely shot, this must be a girl puffin, I'll post the boy version thanks to blue bells.
Nice one.

Again a different looking image that seems to work. Just a slight pity that one of the pink blooms is in front of the birds head. :toast:

Really lovely shot, but as Major said, shame that the puffin's head has been softened too.

I like to see something different. This is it. Works really well. Nice colours and I love that pinky scene.
Well done.

I really like this too, a Puffins eye view of a Puffin, a fresh look at a subject is far better than the many stale old fashioned production line images that we so often see!

Hello Mark

When did you get the time to process some images  I liked this one on the back of your screen and it looks belting here, cracking shot.
