Taken on Saturday whilst out and about with a few good friends and local photographers including, Tony Flashman, Ian Andrews, Nick Armitt..
We had spent the day taking in the local flora and fauna and this image was captured after we discovered a butterfly 'roost' at one of Kent's many wildlife hotspots..
The light was interesting to work with as it was falling away at the end of the day. The butterflies were numerous and settled on the long stems of the grasses. We all took the opportunity to grab a good number of frames before heading back to Tony's for a take-away.. A nice end to a great day of photography.
a fantastic shot. For several years now I have been hoping to find Common Blues in this sort of situation but they've been very scarce up here. It seems Kent is the place to see them.
