I shot this Sat while I was waiting on spreader truck. I left in as much folage as I could to help. It grows in bottom ground on lighter sandy soil I don't think I have seen it anywhere else. There are several patches within a couple hundred acre area. I have closeup of flower if that will help. Thanks.
Looks sorta like an anemone of some kind; it would be easier to identify if you could show the leaves of the plant that are associated with this flower [too much leaf "noise" in this photo ;) ]
The flowers themselves look like wild Strawberry, but the foliage and buds don't match up to them. I went through my source and did a very quick search on Google, but so far, I haven't been able to come up with anything yet. I know I've seen these flowers before...but can't think of what they are.
Sorry, Kendall, hopefully someone will come up with an answer!
This is the best I have with folage, hope it helps I will get another view tomorrow. The plant is about 16-18 inches high and densly populated in the patch.

How about Canada Anemone? That's as close as I can find.
