Hi Major.
I like this.!
Was it a vertical camera shot or a horizontal crop ?
If it was horizontal then I reckon a pan crop would help. If not I think perhaps some off the top bottom and right. Still a nice rock chaffy though.
Cheers

No it was a vertical and cropped as I thought to even it up slightly. Also took some in landscape as well.

I think this composition works very nicely Major. Nice lighting, nice background and an attractive rock.

Composition is spot-on Major, both pictorially and editorially (as it has space for title, tasters and insets etc). Vibrant colours too.
I'd be tempted clone the blob of poo out though!

Its a lovely shot Major :toast:

Probably not the exact comp i would have gone for, but {as a simple hobbiest} i have the luxury of not needing to shoot with an eye for a variety of final use's.

beauty :toast:

Often overlooked these birds being so common, but still photographically beautiful in a great setting and light like this.

Yes Major , if picture sales are in mind then its a whole new ball game. This is just the sort they want for covers etc.
( I used to think like that but not any more )
Cheers

Hi Major,
Pleasing shot. How do you clean your D3 sensor? I've been using a rocket blower, but may have to do my first ever wet clean, serves me right for doing some F/22 shots.

Great image Major, fantastic light, and a suberb perch. I really like the complimentary background colour. As mentioned lots of potential for editorial use or could be cropped in many ways to suit an editors requirements.
