I visited the Tetons and Jackson Hole last year. About a block away from the town square area (with the antler arches) there was a photography studio. The photographer had work from across the US, one that I specifically remember were images of Rhododendrons from Redwood NP. I have searched all over the net to find this photographer, and have found nothing. So, for any of you Wyoming natives that visit this area frequently, do any of you know the name of this guy?

Thanks in advance,

Ben,

The photographer that comes to mind immediately, only because he lives in Jackson Hole, is Thomas Mangelsen. Check out www.mangelsen.com. Here is a link to a few of the Rhododendrons pics he has: http://www.mangelsen.com/store/Limited_Editions_08___Landscapes___Flowers___Trees?Args=&page_number=7

Hope this helps!

Ben,

I happened to walk into his gallery, unaware of his status as a nature photographer, about six years ago and was left speechless. He is one of my favorite photographers...his work is excellent, unrivaled! Glad it's him!

That is exactly how I felt. His panoramic images of Redwood NP were just breathtaking. Thank you again for your help.

David Brookover also has a gallery down there. Mangelsen is one of (if not the) most famous wildlife/landscape photographers in North America.

Thomas Mangelsen is an amazing photographer and I have two of his limited edition prints hanging in my living room as well as two polar bear posters in my daughter's room. Having said that, in my personal opinion David Brookover's *landscape* photographs are better than Mangelsen's. He shoots with an 8x10 camera and most of his prints are huge (40x50ish). His gallery is across the street from Mangelsen's and is well worth a look.
