Howdy all,
I got out in the gorge for a couple hours 2 weekends ago. I managed to get all muddy trying to get this shot. It's been so long since I've been out and about I'm all out of shape and clumsy! Slippen and sliding on the wet trail

Beautiful image. Very nicely composed. Great color and exposure. Definitely a winner.

Cool. The dark foreground transitions nicely up the rock face to the west sun. I've never seen it backlit like this.

Eric,
I agree that it's a very good shot. As good as it gets for these falls. I can't find a nit except for maybe the log at the top of the falls?

Great composition. You may be outa shape on the trail but you're right on with this!

Thanks all. I'll have to post another from that weekend that I'm not so sure of when I get home.

This is nice, Eric. Glad to see you getting out and wet :toast:

Just a teeny bit too dark to me, but easily one of the best shots of PT I've yet seen.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I like it darker, makes the water pop more! :toast: :toast:

Beautiful scene, great capture. The only nit I have is the small black shape above the moss covered piece of wood in the lower right. For some reason, my eye keeps getting drawn to the black spot in the water. I'd consider a quick clone. Great shot all around though.

This is a great shot from an often shot place. I do agree that I would like to see a tad bit more detail in the shadows but still a real nice image regardless!

Thanks all, I probably need to re-calibrate my monitor at home. The image as displayed on there is definitely a bit brighter..

Eric, I think this is a great picture of an oft photographed location. To me it shows skill in pulling off such an original composition (at least one I have never seen before).
