Long-tailed fiscal shrike
This is a shot of long-tailed fiscal shrike Lanius cabanisi that I took last year in Mikumi National Park, Tanzania. The same bird was in the May issue of Outdoor Photography but a slightly different shot. I know its not usually the best to have the subject on the middle, but I wanted to keep the nice perch and also the space on the right for the shrike to look into...

Clapped out dala dala as a hide!

Yep, a finely presented Shrike and spike.

Very fine shot, and i think the composition works fine here, as the branch balances it out nicely :toast:

Cheers,

Dan.

Composition works well as you have the space on the right for the bird to look into and balances out the image. Beautifully shot, although a little warm. :toast: :toast: :toast:
