I managed to get out for the first time in a few weeks this evening and decided to explore an area of moorland I've never been to before. Unfortunately I didn't find very much and this is the only image I came back with. It was taken a good while after the sun had gone down and still several miles from the car. I quite liked the subtle light from the fading sunset. Worth returning in better light? Or just simply not enough about it?

A barrel scrape. Its got a slight lead in line but there isnt enough to hold attention, but thats not to say that area could yield something special, you have a great nack of photographing some wonderful unseen perspectives from your neck of the woods.

Hello Tristan, I quite like the subtelty of the lighting on this image as well. I find the fence / stile at the bottom a bit distracting, probably because it is not obvious what it is at first.
Robert.

Hi Tristan,

I've got to say that I actually quite like this one. It's not as dramatic as your usual stuff, but there is a nice subtlety to it that makes it interesting all the same.

Cheers,

Dan.

Hi Tristan,

A different perspective! I'm not sure if it does or doesn't work for me!

I like the light, but the background doesn't hold my interest. Perhaps only worth a return if you get some photogenic cloud formations that compliment the stream lead in, with some nice warm evening lighting/sunset?

Thanks everyone - I think this one is heading for the bin as I originally thought ...

If it were mine I wouldn't bin it at all !
I like this.

An ok image, but not up to your usual standards - the foreground plank isn't a strong/interesting enough element for my liking.

You asked for C&C!!
