Wildflowers Anyone?

I finalized my plans to visit the Ridgway/Silverton area July 20-27.

I was wondering if anyone had any plans yet to be out there during that time?

If you see me on a hike I'll be the lady with brown curly hair gasping for air!
Or if I'm driving some 4wd road I'll be clutching the steering wheel and pulling over to get out of your way!
Hope to see some of you out there. If you see me stop and say hello.

Would anyone have any recommendations for an inexpensive motel in Durango close to the airport? It's just for 1 night so I don't need anything fancy.

Laurie, I may be in the area around then, will let you know when the time gets closer.

You won't find any accomodations near the Durango airport. You'll have to head into town. Plenty to chose from, but things can fill up in the summer, so reservations would be advised.
The Super 8, right off of Hwy 160, usually has rates in the mid $50 range. I doubt you will find anything much cheaper.

I will be in Telluride 7/19 thru 8/12. Perhaps some of us can meet up. Also would be great if we can create a list of wildflower locations. I am aware of the following:

Yankee Boy Basis
Last Dollar Road
Governor Basin
Blue Lakes Basin
Ice Lake Basin

Other ideas, tips?

I hope to FINALLY get some wildflower pictures from there this year.
