Juvenile Dipper
Had a well earned day off from work (and decorating) on Friday and went out to specifically target Dippers, Pied and Grey Wagtails along with an early morning session to hopefully catch an otter and kingfishers. Failed miserably on the otter / kingfisher front but had a reasonably good day on the others. Unfortunately I didn't get any decent pictures of an adult Dipper but this youngster did offer me one chance to get an image.

I really like the enviro in this one. A bit busy to look at but the longer I look the more I like it.

Good job.

Shows the bird beautifully in its environment. Love the gushing water in the background. Excellent!

Perfect shot Robert.
But can a Sig 500 make such a hard bokeh??
The bird is sharp, can you try a larger fstop.

the background is a touch lively but excellent in every other way. Nice to see a juvenile too instead of the more familiar adults.

I like to see the bg in these shots, but I must admit I find the bg highlights catch my eye every time before I look at the bird. Perhaps darkening them a little may help. It is nice to see this juvenile form for a change, I'd be pretty happy if it were mine.

Not much you could have done with the b/g as it was a bright sunny day by the looks of things, but a nice capture of a juvenile which you don't see images of that often.
